Confidential Support Is a Call Away

If you’re a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one, there are caring, qualified VA responders standing by to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, anonymous, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care.

​If you or someone you know is a veteran facing homelessness or other financial crises, please let us help. The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs, along with many other state and national military and service organizations, have emergency relief programs specifically designed to help veterans, service members and their families. Women's Military History Week.jpgOregon Veterans Educational Bridge Grant Eligibility Expanded For Veterans Pursuing Educational Or Vocational TraininG

Effective January 2024, the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs has expanded the Oregon Veterans Educational Bridge Grant (VEBG) Program, greatly broadening financial assistance eligibility for veterans completing their educational or vocational training.

The VEBG was established by the Oregon Legislature in 2019 to provide financial assistance grants up to $5,000 to eligible veterans to alleviate the financial stress during a gap period when required courses or training hours are unavailable, allowing them to remain enrolled in school or their apprenticeship training.
