Consumer Assistance Organizations

This is a list of organizations which represent customers in matters before the Oregon Public Utility Commission.  The list was compiled by the PUC Public Information/ Consumer Services Division to help customers of PUC-regulated utilities better participate in Commission decisions.  More information about the organizations is available by contacting them directly.

If you need financial assistance for energy services, there are several possible sources of help.  In some cases, major energy utilities offer financial aid through voluntary contribution programs.  Also, you may qualify for help from the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP).  For LIEAP information, contact your local utility office.

Financial assistance for telephone services is available to qualified low-income persons through the Oregon Telephone Assistance Program (OTAP) operated by the Public Utility Commission.  For information, contact OTAP at 1-800-848-4442.
