| Purpose |

To coordinate and implement consistent statewide fire prevention education.

| Roles & Responsibilities |
|
Office of State Fire Marshal
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate team activities.
- Provide data for decision-making and evaluation.
- Research, develop, facilitate, promote and support fire prevention education-related messages, campaigns, and model programs.
Association and Partner Representatives
- Gain support of association boards or partners for endorsement and promotion of team activities.
- Foster improved fire prevention education collaboration among Oregon fire departments, fire service organizations, associations, and partners.
Regional Representatives
- Represent the fire departments in their region.
- Gain support and involvement of fire department and community partners’ in carrying out campaigns, model projects or distribution of messages.

Oregon Life Safety Team meets the third Thursday of every month, from 1:30pm - 3:30pm at the Office of State Fire Marshal, 4760 Portland Road NE, Salem, Oregon 97305 in the Mt. Hood room, with the exception of August and December when there are no meetings.
