The State Fire Marshal reminds you to 'Move Over' for emergency vehicles
MoveOver
When approaching a stopped emergency vehicle along the side of the road, Oregon law requires drivers to move over into another lane if one is available. If you can not move over into another lane safely (or if you are on a road with only one lane in each direction), you must slow down and give emergency vehicles as much room as safely possible.

As part of an ongoing public awareness campaign, the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Oregon State Police, along with local law enforcement, are stepping up efforts with new highway signs, billboards, transit bus signs, rest area posters and brochures promoting the 'Move Over' message across the state.
