Facilities Updates:
Savage Rapids Park
Savage Rapids Park, on the Rogue River between Josephine and Jackson County is being used as a staging area for contractors building a pump plant, in preparation for removing the dam. Chinook Park and Coyote Evans Wayside are the closest access facilities.

Marshall Island Access Boat Ramp
The Willamette River's Marshall Island Access boat ramp, south of Harrisburg, will be closed beginning April 6th and will remain closed for several months. Oregon Parks and Recreational Department officials have declared the ramp unsafe to use until repairs can be made. The river is still accessible to canoeists and kayakers and the parking lot, restroom and picnic area will remain open. An alternative site is McCarntey Park, on the east side of the river, four miles north of Harrisburg, and upstream at Lane County's Armitage Park, on the McKenzie River off Coburg Rd. north of Eugene. For further information, contact Kees Ruurs (541) 937-1173 or Paul Tollenaar (541) 517-8580.
