Picking children up at school
  • Do not attempt to pick up children from school. Doing so will put you and your children in more danger because you could be exposed to chemical agents while driving. Furthermore, if schools are trying to evacuate, the extra traffic you create could hamper evacuation efforts. Schools have plans to evacuate or shelter children safely.
  • If an evacuation is ordered for school children, you will be told on the Emergency Alert System where to meet up with them after you have evacuated.
