Student Exemption Ends 8/1/11, Registration Moves to One Year
Athletic trainer
As of August 1, 2011, students who have already passed the Board of Certification examination no longer are exempted from athletic trainer registration requirements. Read more from Board of Athletic Trainers Chair Russ Cagle, Ph.D., ATC, ATR, in a letter to all athletic trainer stakeholders.

In other news, athletic trainer registration moves to an annual registration/renewal period.

The Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) now offers online access to all regularly scheduled full board and council meetings. All you have to do is click on the link on the meeting notice of the meeting you'd like to view at the time the meeting is scheduled.
OHLA Adopts Agency-wide Investigative Protocol

OHLA has established an investigative protocol that features 28 steps and exit points depending on the status of the investigation. OHLA has implemented the protocol to clarify and streamline the investigative process.
