ROADWAY LEADERSHIP TEAM
CHARTER
AUTHORITY
The Roadway Leadership Team is established under the PDLT Operational Notice PD-01, dated January 1, 2005. The Roadway managers will have overall leadership and decision authority for Roadway Engineering under the direction of the State Roadway Engineer.
PURPOSE
- Provide guidance on the establishment of Department policies and procedures related to the Program including all necessary roadway engineering activities involved in project delivery.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between regional technical centers and Technical Services’ Roadway Engineering Section.
- Provide an atmosphere and opportunity for collaborative problem-solving and idea-sharing.
- Assess the effectiveness of the Roadway Engineering Program and identify areas of improvement. Prioritize recommendations and include an annual work plan to track and report on the progress of the Roadway Engineering Program.

Technical Services’ State Roadway Engineer.
Representatives
Roadway Engineering Managers (3), Statewide Roadway Region Managers (5), Roadway Engineering Executive Support (1).
GUESTS
Guests to the meeting may include representatives from any other ODOT discipline that may be affected by roadway engineering. Representatives from outside the agency such as consultants, FHWA, Oregon Bridge Delivery Unit, Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners, and other ODOT partners engaged in business that touch roadway engineering.
MEETINGS
The Statewide Roadway Leadership Team will meet once a month. Meetings will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12: 00 p.m. The meetings will be held in the video conference rooms, in Salem at the Transportation Building, and Regions 1, 3, 4, & 5.
