As you may be aware, PDLT has been conducting the "2007 Project Delivery Review" (aka "SASC Review") over the past 8 months. A recommendation from this review process included making organizational changes to the former "Office of Project Delivery". One of these changes moved the Project Delivery Unit (PDU), which comprises most of the original OPD functions, into Technical Services with the goal of providing more cohesive, seamless headquarter support and service to the Regions, to our internal/external partners, and within Technical Services. The PDU provides strategic project and program management leadership and support tailored to ensure alignment with ODOT's overall project delivery goals, improve delivery and business management processes, and provide resources with the systems, tools, and skills needed for the successful delivery of projects.
While the reporting and budget changes took place last March, I am very pleased to now welcome the PDU staff physically to Technical Services in the Transportation Building, effective 9-4-2007. An updated contact/address list is attached for your convenience. You can expect to continue receiving the same high quality services and products from the PDU, as their responsibilities and work plan remains intact.
In addition, I am equally pleased to unveil the PDU's new, enhanced website! One of our primary goals in revamping this website was to streamline, consolidate and simplify the information provided to enhance usability and effectiveness. We invite your review and feedback so adjustments can be made to best serve the needs of our customers. An email address is included on each page for your convenience in providing feedback.
