Going North/South (from I-405)
- From North or Southbound I-405, take Exit 1C.
- Take 6th Ave North toward downtown Portland.
- Continue North on 6th Ave for about 7 blocks.
- The DMV office is located on the corner of 6th Ave and Clay St (both are one way streets).
- This is a fairly congested area, and off-street parking is not provided at this DMV office.
Going East (from OR-26)
- As Eastbound OR-26 approaches I-405, follow the signs to I-405 South (to Salem).
- From Southbound I-405, take Exit 1C.
- Take 6th Ave North toward downtown Portland.
- Continue North on 6th Ave for about 7 blocks.
- The DMV office is located on the corner of 6th Ave and Clay St (both are one way streets).
- This is a fairly congested area, and off-street parking is not provided at this DMV office.
Going West (from East Portland)
- Take Hawthorne St. West toward downtown Portland.
- As you approach the river, Westbound Hawthorne St traffic is routed onto to Madison St.
- Continue West across the Hawthorne St Bridge (over the Willamette River).
- Once over the bridge, Westbound traffic is routed onto Main St.
- Continue West on Main St for about 6 blocks.
- Turn LEFT (South) on Broadway Ave.
- Continue South on Broadway Ave for about 5 blocks.
- Turn LEFT (East) on Market St, and continue 1 block.
- Turn LEFT (North) on 6th Ave.
- Continue North on 6th Ave for 1 block.
- The DMV office is located on the corner of 6th Ave and Clay St (both are one way streets).

Going East (from PSU)
- Take Market St East towards the river.
- Turn LEFT (North) on 6th Ave.
- Continue North on 6th Ave for 1 block.

Going South (from Naito Pkwy)
- Take Naito Pkwy (OR-99) South.
- Turn RIGHT (West) on Clay St.
- Continue West on Clay St for about 6 blocks.
- The DMV office is located on the corner of Clay St and 6th Ave (both are one way streets).
- This is a fairly congested area, and off-street parking is not provided at this DMV office.
