| Payment of Test Fees |

DMV requires that you pay for tests in advance. If you are taking a test, please bring separate payment (for example, two checks):
- One for your test(s), and
- One for issuing or upgrading your driver license or instruction permit.
If you bring one check and fail your test, the DMV office cannot give you a refund. You will need to submit a written request for a refund. Therefore, for your test fees, DMV may ask you for another form of payment (for example, a second check or cash).
NOTE: DMV does not accept credit or debit cards; however ATMs are available at most offices.
