 Vision Test Requirements
An eyesight test will be required whenever a person who is 50 years of age or older renews a driver license, regardless of the length of time it is valid; an eyesight test is also required for a person under 50 if the license to be renewed expires on or after the person’s 50th birthday.

 CDL Medical Standards
DMV to establish defined standards it will consider for issuance of a Waiver of Physical Disqualification for five FMCSA physical disqualifications: loss or impairment of limb, diabetes, seizure disorder, impaired vision, and hearing loss.

 Branded Vehicle Titles - Lemon Law Buyback
These rule amendments implement chapter 448, Oregon Laws 2009, which changed Oregon’s vehicle consumer warranty laws concerning lemon vehicles.

Recently Adopted DMV Rules
These rules have been adopted aproximately within the last six months.
 
 Consular Corps and Group Registration Plates
Chapter 621 OL 2009 requires DMV to issue consular corps registration plates. Also, each non-profit group must specify the surcharge amount DMV will collect on its behalf upon issuance of its group registration plate.

 Limited Term Driver License / Permit / ID Card
On January 1, 2010 DMV will begin issuance or renewal of a limited term driver license, limited term driver permit or limited term ID card if the applicant is in the US on a temporary basis.

 Proof of School Attendance and Waiver of Reinstatement Fee
DMV will waive the reinstatement fee when driving privileges are suspended for non-attendance at school if the person can show that he or she has graduated from high school or received a GED certificate at the time of reinstating driving privileges.

 Hardship or Probationary Permit Restrictions
This amendment adds a new offense – aggravated driving while suspended or revoked – to the kinds of convictions that result in revocation of driving privileges as an habitual offender.

 Renewal of a Disabled Person Parking Permit
