Tillamook District Road Closures
The West Fork Wilson River road is temporarily closed due to washing out in the December storms. This area had extensive storm damage. Portions have been repaired on the upper part of the West Fork Road but we still have a 700' stretch of road gone on the lower part. We hope to have this road repaired by summer 2009.
Anderson Ridge Road is blocked due to an active logging operation near the junction of East Foley Peak and Firebreak 3 roads. Due to the limited road width the road may not be open during weekends. We expect this closure to last through February.
Portions of Archers Road Closed - Archers Light Timber Sale.
The timber sale operator is working very quickly and moved into Phase B, & C of the Archers Light Sale. On weekdays OHV riders and drivers should expect to find sections of Archers FB OHV Trail temporarily closed due to active sale operations. In most cases trail and road closures will be only for a few hours to a half day. Trails will be temporarily closed with felled trees so that riders cannot enter into an active falling area. Archers Road will be blocked by equipment or trucks so that regular road traffic cannot enter an active falling operations. After the trees are harvested the operator will clear the trail of slash and move west to the next section. The active CB channel for Archers Road is CB #3.

Tillamook District OHV Trails
Jordan Creek OHV Area:
# 34 Buck Up is temporarily closed due to logging activity on the Hoskins Timber Sale. It will be closed until approximately September.
# 37 Stick In The Nose is closed indefinitely due to timber sale activity.
#40 Duane's Trail remains closed indefinitely due to flood damage. Riders are advised to not venture down this trail as it is a dead end and very difficult to ride back up. In addition this further damages the trail as inexperienced riders dig ruts as they struggle to climb back out.
Diamond Mill OHV Area:
Trail # 63 Cedar Ridge Trail- Sections will be temporarily closed beginning June 24 due to active log falling and road construction for the East Butte Timber Sale. The affected trails are located in T1N, R8W, Section 14 & 23. For safety riders need to avoid this area and respect closures.
(# 72) Odins Ridge and Jones Creek Road (# 83) are temporarily closed due to road construction associated with the Mary’s Butte Timber Sale. The Operator is conducting right of way falling for spur roads and road re-construction needed for access to the sale. Mikes Trail (# 92) is still open to motorcycles. The lower quad width section of Mikes is closed where the ROW falling has blocked it however the remainder of Mikes Trail is open for motorcycle only traffic. To avoid confusion and loss of expensive OHV trail filter materials from road construction and ground yarding, boulders and eco-blocks have been painted SAVE or marked with an S. As the road work moves west on Jones Creek Road, Powerline 2 (# 133) will be closed as well. The closed trails may be reopened after the road work is completed. Timber falling and harvest may not occur until later this year or even later depending on market conditions.
# 56 BPA Trail is closed due to 2 washouts, and 1 landslide.
# 82 MC Trail will be temporarily closed until the West Fork Wilson River Road is repaired.
Trask OHV Area:
The Boundary Daylight Sale will begin falling the week of June 22nd. All trails along Boundary Road from the intersection of Boundary Road and Headquarters Camp Road west to the western edge of T3S, R7W will be temporarily closed by sale activity. The timber sale will daylight along the road and logs will processed from the road. The trails will be reopened after active logging and the sale is expected to take only 2 to 3 weeks to complete. Please respect the closures and do not go around the signs and blockages.
Eagle Hill Trail is closed to 4WDs. The trail will remain closed until a bridge suitable for 4WD can be installed at the bottom stream crossing.
