Land Acquisitions and Exchanges
A riparian area
As provided for in ORS 530.010, the Oregon Board of Forestry may acquire lands which are chiefly valuable for the production of forest crops, watershed protection and development, erosion control, grazing, recreation, or forest administrative purposes.
 
State forestlands may be exchanged when an exchange will improve the social, economic, and environmental benefits provided from public forestlands, and when the exchange consolidates state forestlands or makes management more economically feasible.
