Formal Comment Periods
A winter day in the Santiam State Forest
The comment period on annual operations plans typically runs from mid-February to the end of March.

The public involvement process provides an opportunity for Oregon Department of Forestry districts to share their draft annual operations plans with the public. It also is a time for the public to ask questions and offer comments on the planned activities on state forestlands.

Information on how best to provide written comments is available.

No other formal comment periods are scheduled at this time.

The public may comment on any State Forests plans at any time by contacting the Planning Specialist, Oregon Department of Forestry, 2600 State Street, Salem, OR 97310 (503-945-7258, FAX 503-945-7376, TTY 1-800-437-4498).

Comments may also be made at public meetings.
