Collection and release information
The moth is now widespread in Umatilla, Union, and Wallowa counties and can be collected for redistribution. There may be several generations per year. Agent is best collected in the larval stage in June-August.  Recommended collection using sweep net. Contact ODA staff for availability in your area.
 
History in Oregon
In 1989 the defoliating moth Aplocera plagiata (= Anaitis) was released in several counties.  ODA reared colonies at the Salem Greenhouse facility and supplied releases for additional counties. The moth was first recovered in Jefferson County in 1993.
