| Introduction |

The persimmon root borer, Sannina uroceriformis, is a moth found mainly in the eastern half of the United States. Persimmon plants, Diospyros spp., are the only known host for this root borer.

| Regulations |
|
California prohibits all species and varieties of Diospyros spp., including trees, tree parts capable of propagation, and unseasoned green wood. Fruits, seeds, buds and/or scions are exempted. The quarantine includes all states and territories within the United States. There are no treatment options. Any plant material that originated from California and shipped to an Oregon nursery must be safeguarded, and recertified before it can be shipped back into California.
