Smoke Research
Smoke Research
ODA operates an extensive research program each year for developing alternatives to field burning. Projects include developing alternative crops, alternative field management practices, and straw utilization. Signed by the Governor in April 2001, House Bill 2154 expanded the definition of alternatives research to include environmental impacts of alternative seed production methods. Funding comes primarily from fees paid by grass seed growers.
