Washington State Institute for Public Policy   Current areas of staff expertise include: education, criminal justice, welfare, children and adult services, health, utilities, and general government. The Institute also collaborates with faculty in public and private universities and contracts with other experts to extend our capacity for studies on diverse topics. For several projects, we have successfully merged administrative data from two or more agencies, significantly reducing the cost of outcome research.  http://www.wsipp.wa.gov/intro.asp
Colorado Best Practices   The Office of Interagency Prevention Systems is committed to assisting local communities in providing high quality coordinated prevention and intervention services for the state’s children and youth.  This includes enhancing local capacity by implementing effective strategies and practices — or "Best Practices" — to better serve the needs of children and youth.  Programs that rely on such strategies and practices are also frequently referred to as "model," "evidence-based," "science-based," and/or "blueprint" programs. http://co.gov/bestpractices/

Blueprints for Violence Prevention   Overall, the Blueprints Initiative sets a gold standard for implementing exemplary, research-based violence and drug programs and for implementing these programs with fidelity to the models. The work that is being conducted will help to bridge the gap between knowledge (research) and practice and inform the users of programs of the barriers that must be overcome in order to achieve maximum success.   http://www.colorado.edu/cspv/blueprints/index.html

Programs included have been reviewed by SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP). This Web site serves as a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in learning about and/or implementing these programs.   http://modelprograms.samhsa.gov/template_cf.cfm?page=model_list
