An Oregon Program:
Students Today Aren’t Ready for Sex (STARS) Program
STARS seeks to reduce teen pregnancy by reaching preteens before they become sexually active. This program is based on a researched-based modified Postponing Sexual Involvement (PSI) program that has been rigorously evaluated. STARS is administered by the Oregon Health Division and uses high school students to teach sixth through seventh grade students refusal skills in how to say no to early sexual involvement.
