The Statewide Planning Committee plans and coordinates the food drive for all agencies across the state. Committee activities include developing a food drive theme; ensuring posters, forms, and other materials are updated, printed, and distributed; updating the food drive Web site; providing direction and support to agency coordinators; organizing the orientation session and awards ceremony, etc. The committee meets in Salem for two to three hours approximately seven to eight times between October and April. Joining the committee is very rewarding and is a great way to gain new skills, meet and work with staff from other agencies, and contribute toward the success of the food drive.
