| General Information |
|
The Schools Interactive Database (SID) is available for entry of Energy Use Index (EUI) data. The database is secure and requires a password. To obtain your school district's user name and password, E-mail the Oregon Department of Energy at sb1149.sch@state.or.us .

| Data Required |
|
Refer to the Energy Usage Index (EUI) Web page for details.
1. The sum of at least 12 months of energy use data for electricity, natural gas, propane, and
fuel oil. (Sum of kwh, KW, therms, gallons etc.)
2. Total square footage of each school facility.
3. Hours of operation of each school facility

| Instructions for Use |
|
Go to the SB 1149 Interactive Database (SID)
1. Log on using your user name and password.
2. Select the school name.
3. Enter required data, all fields must be entered.
4. SID will calculate Energy Use Index values and use them to recommend which type of
audit (level I, II, or III) should be preformed on the school, or allow you to waive any
school which falls within the target ranges.
5. On completion of data entry, print a copy of the summary for each school.
6. Data can be edited by selecting "edit" on the school selection screen.
7. A printout of your Energy Use Index summary can be obtained by selecting "Print" on
your Internet browser.

In the future, SID will collect and report data pertaining to the audits and implementing the recommended energy efficiency measures.
