State agency to be housed in city hall building CONTACT: Judith Fontanini WorkSource Oregon Employment Department 541-265-8891, x347 Judith.E.Fontanini@state.or.us WorkSource Oregon Employment Department in Lincoln City will close its doors in one location and re-open in a new location within a matter of days at the end of this month. The department will officially close its office at 4422 W Devils Lake Boulevard on August 31, but will open to the public at its new location inside the city hall building at 801 SW Hwy 101, Suite 102 on Tuesday, September 5. WorkSource Oregon Employment Department announced in May that due to declining federal funding and increased cost of operation, Lincoln City staff would be moved to Newport. However, efforts by the Lincoln City Council and local businesses resulted in space being offered to the department within the city hall building for the cost of utilities. The location is central to Lincoln City and conveniently served by the Lincoln County Costal Connection bus service three times a day. The department will have a full time staff person available at the new city hall building location to provide such services as job search and career assistance, job listings and referrals, child care resource and referral, referrals to disabled services, information about partner agency services, occupational and labor market information, plus a telephone link to our unemployment insurance call center.
