Partnership for Coastal Watersheds
South Slough- Photo by Tom Elledge A New Approach to Managing Coastal Watersheds
The Partnership for Coastal Watersheds, which is focused on the South Slough watershed and the coastal frontal watersheds that drain to the Pacific Ocean between Cape Arago and Bullards Beach in southern Oregon, could provide the community with a way to anticipate and respond to the local effects of climate and land use changes.

The Partnership for Coastal Watersheds is guided by a Steering Committee that is a locally-formed community group representing the diversity of local community interests. The provisional goals of the Partnership Steering Committee are to effectively anticipate and respond as needed to local changes in the South Slough and Coastal Frontal watersheds; and to establish a public forum that facilitates community collaboration and decision making. The next meeting of the Partnership Steering Committee is Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 1-5 pm.
