BEND—If you need a little help this tax season figuring your taxes, the Oregon Department of Revenue's Bend office is extending its hours to serve you.
"The extra hours mean we can help more taxpayers," said Bend office manager Eric Smith. "This is part of our effort to provide the best possible customer service to Bend area taxpayers."
The Bend office is normally open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. From April 1 through April 15 the office hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is located at 951 SW Simpson Drive, Suite 100, across from the Mt. Bachelor park-and-ride lot.
Revenue employees will answer questions about Oregon taxes, and provide forms and publications. If you owe taxes, help is available to make payments or payment arrangements.
Tax forms and publications also are available at area libraries, but library employees can't answer tax-related questions. For more information on Oregon income taxes, tax forms and instructions, and to check the status of your refund, visit www.oregon.gov/DOR, or call 1-800-356-4222 toll-free from an Oregon prefix (English or Spanish). For TTY (hearing or speech impaired), call 1-800-886-7204. Because of the volume of calls the department receives during tax season, callers may experience extended waiting times.
