FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 25, 2001
The Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit is seeking information about Ivan Makaroff, 36, who absconded from transitional leave. He was last seen in Salem on July 7th, 2001.
Makaroff is described as a white male, 5'8" tall, approximately 195 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar on his right hand. He also goes by the names of Ivan Cam and Ivan Snegirev.
Makaroff was serving time for ex-con in possession of a weapon, burglary II and unauthorized use of a vehicle . His projected release date was September 29, 2003.
Makaroff is believed to be in the Gervais or Woodburn areas. Anyone with information about Inmate Makaroff's whereabouts should call 9-1-1 or the Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-945-9030.
