Fugitive Gandy Sought
 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 28, 2000
 
The Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit is actively searching for information on the whereabouts of Anthony Gandy, 30, who escaped last month from an inmate fire fighting crew near Grants Pass.
 
Gandy is a white male, 6´1" tall, 190 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos including a cross on his chest, a reaper/wizard on his back, a spider web on his right ankle, barbed wire on his left ankle, a bat on his left knee, tribal on his left thigh, and a wizard on his left arm. He also has a scar on a finger of his left hand.
 
Gandy was serving time out of Josephine County for ex-con with a weapon, driving while suspended/revoked and forgery. He was admitted to prison in October 1999 and was due to be released in August 2002. He was incarcerated at South Fork Forest Camp in Tillamook. His minimum security inmate fire fighting work crew was deployed out of Tou Velle State Park when he walked away on August 9.
