The Oregon Air Monitoring Project 

The purpose of the Oregon Air Monitoring Project was to examine indoor air quality in a sample of hospitality venues in Oregon, and to assess the relation between indoor air pollution and the presence of on-premise smoking.  Indoor air quality was assessed in 107 bars and restaurants in Oregon between March 10, 2006 and April 1, 2006. Venues were sampled in Bend, Coos Bay, Corvallis, Eugene, Hillsboro, Hood River, Medford, Oregon City, Pendleton, Portland, Salem, and Springfield.  Thirty-eight (36%) venues sampled were smoke-free and 69 venues were not smoke-free. 

PM_2.5 levels in these 107 locations were compared across types of venue. This report contains the final results of the Oregon Air Monitoring Project.
