Announcing the 7th Oregon Flu Summit -- September 1st and 2nd, 2009

This year, OAIC is hosting our annual influenza conference in conjunction with the Oregon Pubic Provider Conference by the state Immunization Program. This will be a great educational opportunity, especially for those of you who travel to Portland for trainings and are looking to reduce costs by attending all sessions.

We are finalizing the agendas for these two exciting events, and will be sending out invitations by email very soon. Please let others know about this no-fee training opportunity, and get added to the OAIC mailing list by filling out the OAIC Membership form below.

Our Mission: 

“The Oregon Adult Immunization Coalition, a statewide network of health and community partners, will promote prevention and control of vaccine-preventable disease through immunization of adults in Oregon and Southwest Washington.”

We are a coalition of individuals, agencies, and programs from the public and private sectors. What we share in common is a vision that no adult living in Oregon and Southwest Washington bear the burden of disease and premature death from vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs).

We educate ourselves about the issues and work to understand the research on how to improve the immunization rates in adults. We share the information with our agencies and partners and work to improve vaccination practices. The OAIC is constantly involved in immunization-promotion projects and is interested in helping address barriers to adults getting immunized.

Educational Meetings are held 1-2 times a year and are open to attendance by General Membership. Teleconferencing is available if you would like to participate from afar.
