The internet carries enormous amounts of information on HIV and AIDS, including care and treatment, prevention, research and clinical trials, publications, and upcoming events. The following list includes some useful sources of information.

For information on local resources please contact your local county health department.
  • CDC: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States. http://www.cdc.gov/
  • AETC National Resource Center: This AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) National Resource Center (NRC) website has been designed to serve as a central resource for the education of providers of HIV/AIDS care nationwide. http://www.aids-ed.org/
  • UCSF HIVInsight: Comprehensive, up-to-date information on HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention, and policy from the University of California San Francisco. http://hivinsite.ucsf.edu/InSite.jdp
  • PSU Population Research Center: The Population Research Center (PRC) is the "Official" source for all State of Oregon Population information. PRC is responsible for producing the annual population estimates for the state, its counties and cities. PRC also serves as the Lead Agency for the State Data Center program providing US Census Bureau data to the citizens of Oregon http://www.upa.pdx.edu/CPRC/
  • Portland Area HIV Service Planning Council: This site is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, and to assist members of our community in taking a leadership role in the planning and assessment of HIV resources.
