    This website: www.thecommunityguide.org features population-based interventions which have undergone systematic review, through an independent Task Force on Community Services. Contributors are the Centers for Disease Control, the National Cancer Institute and a range of experts in public and private sectors.

    Three areas that focus on preventing or controlling cancer are:
    1. Preventing skin cancer by reducing UV light exposure
    2. Increasing breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening
    3. Promoting informed decision-making related to cancer screening.

    A comprehensive cancer control website: http://cancercontrolplanet.cancer.gov/ developed through a partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
