The activities for this workgroup are based on the

Prevention Chapter (pdf)  of the Oregon Cancer Plan (pdf).

Activities include:

• Linking with statewide plans, programs, coalitions, non-profit  and community based organizations with a focus on prevention and early detection education and services

• Promoting collaboration among organizations and individuals - public, private, non-profit sectors

• Linking with professional organizations to promote health care provider education

• Promoting culturally and individually appropriate prevention and early detection education

• Promoting evidence-based interventions to increase cancer screening
