About teen pregnancy prevention

Oregon's teen pregnancy rate has continued to decline over the past years. Thanks to collaborative community-led efforts, youth are making better choices for themselves.

In 2003, 1,965 girls ages 15-17 became pregnant in Oregon. As we know, there are many consequences for the young mother, father, and child. Let us all continue to work together so that all youth have the opportunity of a safe and healthy life.
