Initiating
 
The Business Transition (BT) Initiating Checklist should be utilized at the end of the Initiating Process.  Use it to evaluate whether or not the Initiating activities for Business Transition Management have been completed and the BT resource is ready to move on to the Planning Process of the project.
 
The Project Charter document provides the initial description of the product or service being requested or proposed by the project. It establishes a common understanding of the basic, high-level requirements that are to be addressed by the potential project.
  The Project Roles and Responsibilities document provides a description of  the roles needed on a specific project and the expected responsibilities.
  The strategy document details the approved solution (as outlined in the business case). The strategy includes the charter, scope, and general concept, method, processes, activities, and philosophy of managing this endeavor through planning, executing, and closing – detailing the resources (time, money, personnel, et al.) necessary for success.
