Monthly Parking
Monthly Parking for Employees and Agency Vehicles

Waiting Lists
Most of our parking areas are full.  A waiting list is maintained for those interested in renting a parking space.  Vacancies are filled from the waiting list according to the priority level of the person or agency requesting parking and the date of their request.  Employee state service date is used as the date of request for the Capitol Mall Structure, Green, Red & Yellow lots, and the Ferry Street Structure Rooftop that serve several buildings.  Call the Parking Office at (503) 378-5090 to be added to the waiting list, check your progress or change your request.

Space Assignments
A higher priority is given to disabled employees, agency requests, employees with parking transferring to another agency or location, and carpool groups over non-carpool requests.  The priority list detail is published in the Parking Administrative Rule OAR125-090-0110 Assignment of Priority.

Permits
Plastic permits are issued for the Green, Red, and Yellow lots and the Ferry Street Structure Rooftop where parking is unreserved.  The permit allows a vehicle to park in any unreserved space in the lot named on the permit.  The Red Lot (pdf) has some reserved areas where these permits are not valid.  All other parking lots, buildings and structures are assigned by space rather than by permit.

Paying for Parking – State Employees
The majority of state employees pay for their parking monthly by payroll deduction.  The parking fee is deducted in arrears.  A parker’s July 1st paycheck would have a deduction paying for June parking.  Assignments or cancellations made mid-month are a prorated portion of the monthly fee.  To cancel your parking, notify us in writing or by phone and return any permit issued by our office.  We do not prorate for cancel dates in the past; you are responsible to pay for the parking space or permit until the date you cancel.

Paying for Parking – State Agencies
State Agencies are invoiced for parking at the end of each month.  Assignments or cancellations made mid-month are a prorated portion of the monthly fee.  To cancel agency parking, notify us in writing or by phone and return any permit issued by our office.
