This employment opportunity is with Seniors and People with Disabilities, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS).  There is one part-time opening located within the Oregon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program in Portland.  This position is represented by a union.
 
This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Three years experience reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting information, rules, and policy; or three years experience as a trainer or work experience that included presenting information to groups
 
OR;
 
A Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or related field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
This position will assist in the coordination, development and delivery of a variety of training and education programs and will present information to a variant of audiences including agency staff, community groups and Deaf/Hard of Hearing consumers.  Requires significant interface with employees (at all levels) throughout the agency and community.  Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and the ability to work well with diverse backgrounds and skill levels is necessary.  Requires excellent time management skills.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
 
The person in this position works a professional workweek and the incumbent's flexibility to this work schedule is considered a condition of employment.  It is understood that the hours of work may vary from day to day, week to week. The hiring manager will work with the incumbent to determine work schedule specifics.
 
Frequent and regular travel throughout the state to provide training to State agency staff.  You must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.   If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
